I hear a lot about folks who talk about certain "aesthetics", like cottage core, dark academia, et cetera. It made me think about what aesthetic, or aesthetics, I might fit into. But, I haven't found any that really click with me. What I do know, is that I really like daydreaming and imagining, and I don't really settle into any particular category in any respect. I watch movies and TV that I enjoy, I listen to music that I enjoy, I read books I enjoy, but none of them are in any particular genre in excess, and they're all sort of disjointed. I like standup comedies and heavy metal, documentaries and slice-of-life, romcoms and gangster rap, electronica and ultra-cutesy things. All of that may seem rather dull, since I just consume whatever I enjoy without regard for categories, but what I really enjoy are the thoughts and daydreams that these things inspire in me.
